MAYHEM is Lady Gaga’s seventh studio album. It features songs such as Disease, Abracadabra, and Die With A Smile.

Now the first time, I listened to this album I was at work and could fully appreciate the work that was put into this album. But let me tell you, as a metal head, this album is amazing. Particularly the song Abracadabra. That song in general has been on repeat. But also, Disease. Back to Abracadabra though, this song man pumps me up. I love how energetic it is. It is interesting to see how she was able to go from Disease and Abracadabra to Die With a Smile. The slow progression from music you can dance to at a club to slower songs is impressive. The transition is not a slap in the face like some albums where there is one song that doesn’t seem to fit the rest, but rather a really smooth transition that one can get lost in. Even songs like Killah, which is a slower song compared to Abracadabra and Disease, is still very good. The only thing I think I would have done was maybe put Zombieboy before Killah.

Now, I realize that Lady Gaga is not for everyone and that is okay. I give this album a 9/10. If you’re not a Lady Gaga fan, than this album may not be for you, but I do recommend listening to Die With A Smile – it features Bruno Mars. Even Blade of Grass is a good song for people who like slower songs.
